Retro Redux Shrug Part One

Finally here are some pictures of the Retro Redux Shrug from Lace Style.

I love this one so much, I'm making a second one in black! It's an easy knit using mutltiple needle sizes. It's a tad tight in the arms but I think the yarn I used wasn't the right gauge which was my fault for not swatching! Pattern: Retro Redux Shrug

Yarn: Cascade 220

Ampersand Socks and Top Down Baby Sweater

First pair of socks!! Since then I have knitted one Jaywalker using STR Silkie Walking on the Wild Tide and basic stockinette socks using Online Summer Socke. I will post the Online sock in the next couple of days. They are finished just no picture yet!! Now for the Ampersand sock, this was such an easy pattern to use for the first sock. I know I'll use it again but next time with size 2 circs for a tighter fit.

LYS Tour 2007

This weekend I took part in the LYS Tour between Bellingham and Kent. I was able to go to 15 out of the 20 shops and bought just about every project. Variety in my project bag is never a bad thing, right? It was a blast visiting all these shops. Most I haven't been to especially in the Seattle area.

Here's a picture of my loot:

From Top to bottom, left to right:
Duet Sock Yarn from Renaissance Yarns for knitted socks
Dream in Color Worsted Weight from So Much Yarn for a top down baby sweater
Online Sock Yarn from Weaving Works for pedicure socks
Stork Cotton from Ana-Cross Stitch for a baby hat
Misti Alpaca from Village Yarn and Tea Shop for a wrap
Rowan Tapestry from The Knittery for cabled fingerless gloves
Cascade Yarns Eco-Wool from the Fiber Gallery for a felted bear
Classic Elite Star from Main Street Yarns for a baby hat
Cascade Fixation from Wild Fibers for a headband
pattern from Great Yarns
Lorna's Laces to make the neckwarmer pattern from Hill Top Yarns in Seattle

I did some damage! I also purchased four skeins of Cotton Fleece from Weaving Works to make a Rusted Root. I'm so excited to start that one up. My first sweater!

My favorite pattern of the whole trip was the baby sweater from So Much Yarn. The texture and color of the yarn is amazing. I love it
